How do Physicians Feel About the Future of Healthcare? 4 Interesting Stats from the Future of Healthcare Survey

When you chose to become a surgeon, what made you want to pursue the occupation? Was it the opportunity to help others? Your interest in medicine? Maybe someone recommended the profession to you?

If it was the latter, you would be in a minority, as a majority—70 percent—of physicians wouldn’t recommend the healthcare as a profession, according to Future of Healthcare survey.

Most of the doctors surveyed cited dwindling private practice numbers as a reason they wouldn’t recommend the profession. Many feel the increase in large hospital corporations will make it impossible for solo practices to survive and will ultimately change the way patients are treated.
