As an American-based company founded and run by a Dutch family, we enjoy a broad view of world medicine.
Soon, Transonic’s CEO will be attending the premier of the first season of “A Doctor’s Mind” in Germany (in which our technology features). It is an honest depiction of the struggles and triumphs of neurosurgeons, as told in their own words. We love gritty medical veracity, because nothing guides and fortifies the next generation of doctors like unvarnished reality from the mouths of veterans. But this barely touches the value of “A Doctor’s Mind,” and this writer looks forward to thoroughly exploring this topic after the premier.
Speaking of looking forward, while our CEO is in Germany, this writer will be flying from ELSO (Nashville) to EACTS in Barcelona. Why? Besides the collection of brilliant medical minds at EACTS, each of these journeys reconnect us with our distributors and customers. We celebrate each other’s successes and circle the wagons around each other’s struggles. (Remind you of a certain series that’s soon to premier?)

Several cardiothoracic developments have debuted recently in Europe. At this past ESC (also in Spain) AI experts discussed advancements in artificial intelligence-assisted ultrasound, including quantifying cardiac volumes and detecting cardiac amyloidosis from a single ECG.1
An ESC 2026 press release offered imaging guidance for complex stenting and updated information on transcatheter repair of severe tricuspid regurgitation. Both heart failure hospitalization and death are on the decline.2
AstraZeneca’s phase III trials of baxdrostat showed significant reduction in resistant and uncontrolled hypertension.3
